Travel: Wedding in Istanbul

A great friend is heading to a wedding in Istanbul at the beautiful Ciragan Palace Kempinski and asked us to create a few looks to take her on her travels! We always advise to pack with a color scheme to minimize packing and expand your outfit choices by mix and matching. We went with a pink and gold theme to contrast with the blue of the Bosphorus. For the rehearsal dinner with went with this dip-dye Lotta Stensson silk dress—the beaded detail
really makes the dress quite special and has a Byzantine-like quality that is perfect for Istanbul. The wedding attire is formal and we thought this Moschino floral print maxi would be perfect for an evening at the Kempinski. We chose accessories that you can wear with either outfit – from KJL earrings to these amazing YSL ring and cuff. Throw in Jimmy Choo gold sandals and a DKNY clutch and your evening attire is set!

For the day we picked outfits for both poolside and siteseeing. Melissa Odabash’s silk kaftan is stunning and can take you from poolside to lunch and even sunset cocktails. Add a hot white bikini, a hat and embellished sandals and you’re good to go. For day-tripping we love classic white jeans, these cropped ones from MIH are perfect and this thin T-bags jersey top will keep you cool in the Turkish heat – it can also double as a swimsuit cover too!
