What the Chairs Wear: Daisy Day Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Posted By: KK on 04/25/11 1:35 PM | Categories: What the Chairs Wear
We are so happy to be going to Philadelphia for the 55th Annual Daisy Day Luncheon at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. Friends of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will be treated to a afternoon of fun and fashion, sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue and will feature the J.Mendel Fall 2011 Collection with a special appearance by Gilles Mendel. Founded by the Auxiliary of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1953, Daisy Day is the largest volunteer fundraising effort benefiting Children’s Hospital and is an annual tradition in the city of Philadelphia.
For what to wear to this Philadelphia rite of spring, we went shopping at SAKS.COM and chose a beautiful floral Erdam dress that is so beautifully feminine, with its fitted bodice and ruffled neckline. The dress is such a fresh statement that we kept the accessories simple. To see some more of sunny selections for spring please click on our Bright Yellow Collection. Posted By: KK on 04/21/11 1:55 PM | Categories: Street Style & Videos
This week on W2WW’s Shop the Street Style, founder Karen Klopp scoped out the Urs Fischer sculpture, Untitled (Lamp/Bear), at the plaza of the Seagram Building in midtown Manhattan to see what people think of this 23 foot bronze teddy bear. Our big yellow friend seemed to add a sense of cheer in the midst of April showers. The sculpture will be the highlight of Christie’s Post-War & Contemporary Art Auction on May 11 and will be on display for the next 5 months. Shop our yellow teddy bear inspired selections below and put some spring in your step this season.

We are completely inspired this week by the Big Yellow Teddy Bear in midtown Manhattan on the plaza of the Seagram Building, officially called, Untitled (Lamp/Bear) by Swiss-born artist, Urs Fischer. Please click on our link to see our BIG YELLOW BEAR VIDEO. It’s cheery countenance lifted our spirits in a week of dreary April showers! We can picture it with jeans for running around town or with a pair of high-waisted pants and a wrap for a night out! We the shopped our favorite yellow accessories that can take you from spring to summer.

What to Wear: Tribeca Film Festival
Posted By: KK on 04/19/11 4:22 PM | Categories: What to Wear
We are so excited to for the 10th Annual Tribeca Film Festival this week. Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff founded the Tribeca Film Festival in 2001 following the attacks on the World Trade Center to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan through an annual celebration of film, music and culture. Whoppi Goldberg welcomes you on their website, which is the most comprehensive platform to discover everything The Festival has to offer. For information, schedules, events, panels and talk, live streaming, and films on demand, please go to Tribeca Film Festival.com.
This year’s Opening Night is a screening of Cameron Crowe’s documentary, The Union which chronicles the making of the 2010 album “The Union”, a collaboration between pop icon Elton John and legendary rock ‘n’ roll keyboardist Leon Russell. To shop for what to wear to the Tribeca Film Festival and events during this 10 day festival, we went off to shop at Net-A-Porter. We put together two “downtown ensembles”. The first look is a star-studded Opening Night Outfit, channeling Hollywood glamor with a neutral Alice and Olivia halter jumpsuit paired with beaded accessories from this trendy jacket to the tribal-like jewels.

Simply add a white blazer, jewels and heels to get you into the evening groove. Mix-and-match accessories from both looks to create your own take on what to wear to a film festival.

What to Wear: Spring Staples at The Limited
Posted By: KK on 04/19/11 2:13 PM | Categories: What to Wear
We went online to The Limited to shop for some spring staples. Many of the items are 50% off of an already affordable price. While we love the simplicity of their Scoop Neck Tees and their Seamless Camisole Collection, all so great for layering under cardigans and shirtss, we were equally inspired by these ruffled tops, for an everyday look that takes it up a notch. If you say “extra stretch” you are talking our language. These khakis are so great for a day of errands and running around town in comfort. Add a Cardigan, some simple jewelry and you are ready for a beautiful Spring day! For great shoes and bag to go with them, go to our Spring Shoe collection.
